VX-LLC has everything you need.
If you’re looking for quality used metalworking machinery at prices that will allow you to reduce costs while, at the same time, boost your production capabilities, you should look to a company that has been in the business for over 50 years.
VX-LLC, a Van Deilen family-owned business, has been buying and selling used processing equipment for the steel, aluminum, copper, and brass industries since 1965. A full-service company, they not only specialize in buying, selling, and brokering used machinery; they also provide dismantling, packaging, shipping, and installation services. With its established worldwide equipment sourcing network, they can provide the equipment you’re looking for and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
What sort of proven equipment can you expect to find at VX-LLC?
Slitting lines separate the master metal coil into smaller coils (or mults) to an exact width so secondary users can use it to produce a finished product. The slitting line consists of three main parts: an uncoiler, slitter, and recoiler. Material is fed from the uncoiler, through the nip between the two circular cutting wheels, and then re-wound in slit mults on the recoiler. A quality slitting line can produce a process often referred to as “part art and part science.”
Cut to length line (also known as a CTL, level lines, shear lines, or blanking line) takes flat-rolled steel or steel coils, unrolls and levels it, then cuts it to the desired length as a sheet. Cut-to-length lines can operate in a start-and-stop mode as would be used in heavy gauge metal processing or as a free loop for lighter gauge materials.
Before processed metals can be shipped, they need to be packaged, banded, or wrapped before leaving the mill. Banding lines (also known as coil packaging lines) are vital to the coil processing operation. It doesn’t matter how quickly you handle the slit coils or blanks; if you can’t get them off the line and packaged efficiently, your operation will slow down and cost you time and money. A coil banding line bands the metal together after it has been processed through a slitting line. The process can be operated manually or automatically depending on if your banding needs are going to be simple or very complex.
Defects will sometimes occur due to internal stress misalignment as part of the manufacturing process. A leveler will remove any flatness defects from material such as edge wave, crossbow, center buckle, or quarter buckle. It can also handle defects that may not appear until the cutting, burning, or processing of the material. VX-LLC offers a variety of levelers to fit whatever your specific production needs may be.
A rolling mill is a specialized piece of equipment used for reducing the thickness of various materials within precise tolerances through a set of rollers. Rolling mills come in different designs depending on whether or not your needs are for a stand-alone piece of equipment for processing plates or ingots, or as part of a complete coil-to-coil processing line.
Coil handling equipment can include such machinery as coil feeders, coil straighteners, and uncoiler machines used in both small and large scale processes. Coil handling equipment can handle metal used for automotive suppliers as well as metal stamping suppliers who serve such diverse markets as aerospace, appliances, marine, lawn equipment, and more.
At the end of the processing line, you need to have a quality recoiler bringing in the finished product consistently and efficiently. A good recoiler needs to be able to handle set, tensile strengths, and precise widths. VX-LLC has available many options for established branded recoilers, offering a variety of strengths and widths to choose from.
