This used DBI slitting line from 2006 is designed for precision processing and is capable of handling coil widths up to 72 inches and weights up to 100,000 lbs. It accommodates material thicknesses from 0.035 inches to 0.500 inches, making it versatile for various industrial applications. The system processes coils with a maximum outside diameter of 80 inches and an inside diameter ranging from 20 to 32 inches, operating in a right-to-left line direction. The line is fully equipped with a coil car, uncoiler, holddown peeler, flattener, shear, pinch rolls, and a single-head slitter with 12-inch arbors. It incorporates a powerful 500 HP variable slitter drive and features shimless tooling, ensuring efficient and precise slitting operations. Additional components like the passline roll with a feed table and recoiler with outboard support enhance functionality. Control features include an AB programmable logic touch screen and encoder for precise length measurement. The setup also boasts a state-of-the-art control room with climate control, an electronic and mechanical coil centering guide, and stencil line marking for material traceability, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy.
