This used 54" x .108" x 40,000 lbs. Loopco Slitting Line, manufactured in 1980, is designed for slitting cold and hot rolled steel. It accommodates material widths up to 54" and thicknesses ranging from 0.017" to 0.108". The line supports an entry coil weight up to 60,000 lbs. and an exit coil weight of 40,000 lbs. The uncoiler has a coil ID range of 16" to 32", while the recoiler offers coil ID options of 20" and 24". The line direction is right to left, featuring a center line slitting operation. Powered by 460V, 3-phase, 60Hz electrical requirements, the line also operates with a minimum air pressure of 80 PSI. Additional components include a 3-station coil ramp, a cone uncoiler with pit-type coil car, and a slitter head engine with a 75 HP motor. The shear is capable of a maximum thickness of 0.187" with a shear strength of 50,000 PSI. Moreover, a 58"-wide recoiler with a 20" diameter hydraulic drum and gripper, powered by a 100 HP motor, ensures efficient processing.
