This used 72" x .500” slitting line by Pro-Eco offers robust construction for processing both cold rolled and hot rolled steel, whether pickled or black. Capable of handling a maximum coil width of 72", the unit features two slitter heads, each with a 10" diameter arbor and supports a maximum slitter knife diameter of 16". The slitter heads utilize a crane lift-off design, optimizing maintenance and blade changes. Equipped with a 100 HP DC feed-up drive, the machine can operate at a speed of up to 100 feet per minute. The arbors are crafted from solid alloy steel, with precision bearings ensuring smooth, reliable operation. The top arbor adjustment is facilitated by cross-coupled, anti-backlash screw jacks, and mechanical readouts assist with accurate positioning. This setup includes entry pinch rolls, side guides, a slitter feed-up motor and gearbox, along with slitter tooling such as knives, spacers, and rubbers. The hydraulic gear motor-driven lead screws aid outboard housing adjustment, while hydraulic cylinders ensure secure slitter head base locking.
