54" x .015 - .125 x 30,000 Lbs. Pro-Eco/Loopco Slitting Line

This used 54" x .015 - .125 x 30,000 lbs. Pro-Eco/Loopco slitting line is designed to handle low and medium carbon steel with shear strengths ranging from 45,000 to 75,000 PSI. It can process material thicknesses from 0.005" to 0.125" and accommodates untrimmed coils up to 54" wide or trimmed coils up to 52" wide. The line is suitable for coils with a maximum outside diameter of 76" and accommodates entry coil IDs between 20" and 24", and exit coil IDs from 16" to 20". The setup includes motorized hydraulic entry features like a 4-arm entry turnstile with a motorized hydraulic rotation and entry coil car with a 40,000 lbs weight capacity. The uncoiler has a mandrel width of 63", hydraulic expansion from 18.5" to 24.5", and driving power through a hydraulic orbit motor, ensuring smooth operation with its hydraulic slide base and Wichita air clutch. The slitting head features shimless tooling and slitting knives with two to three grinds remaining, driven by a 50 HP DC motor. Auxiliary features include dual self-dumping scrap winders with two-speed hydraulic motors and a Pro-Eco recoiler with a 300 HP DC motor and 70" drum face. The line is controlled by Excel electric systems, newly installed in 2015, and includes a hydraulic unit and water cooling unit, ensuring efficient and effective operation.
