24” Waterbury Farrel Single-Stand 4-Hi Mill (Used)

The 24" wide Waterbury Farrel single stand 4-Hi mill, manufactured in 1967, is a used non-reversing mill designed for steel processing. This mill supports a 24" mill width with a starting coil width of 19" and delivers a maximum finished gauge of 0.035". It operates at a line speed of 300 feet per minute in a right-to-left direction. The closed top housing is constructed from cast material and houses 11" diameter work rolls and 25" diameter backup rolls, both supported by roller bearing chocks. The line is driven by a combination of motors: a 100 HP motor for the payoff reel, a robust 500 HP motor for the mill stand, and a 150 HP motor for the exit reel. This setup includes expanding mandrel types for both payoff and exit reels, with the latter possessing a mandrel diameter of 20". The overall line configuration facilitates effective material handling with the inclusion of a payoff coil car, a blocker roll saddle type, and an exit coil car with lift and transfer capabilities. The coil specifications accommodate up to a 47" maximum outer diameter and coils weighing up to 5,700 lbs, with a coil inner diameter of 16".
