66" x 1.156" Herr-Voss Strand Extensioner

The 66" x 1.156" Herr-Voss Strand Extensioner, model 72/1.156-23/5 HI / RH, is designed for precision leveling tasks. With a maximum width capacity of 62.5 inches and accommodating coil thickness between 0.008" and 0.040", this machine offers reliable performance, handling up to 0.076" thickness depending on the recoiler horsepower. It supports a maximum line speed of 1,500 feet per minute, with a material yield strength range of 12,000 to 40,000 PSI, making it suitable for various industrial applications. The roll design is 23 rolls in an 11 over 12 configuration, providing consistent results and superior quality. This used extensioner features a right-to-left line direction and is supported by 11 flights of motorized backups. It includes a hydraulic motor drive with a pinion box and a comprehensive lube system. The operator panel is equipped with joystick controls for ease of use. Additionally, the line comes with a hydraulic crop shear, powered bottom nip roll, and an exit threading table. Notably, although the machine was never used, it has undergone reconditioning due to extended storage. It includes new bearings, reconditioned, or new backups, as well as reconditioned intermediate and work rolls. Currently, it is removed from operation and stored in Detroit, Michigan, waiting for its next application.
