VX LLC carries a variety of industrial banding equipment that allows for complete control over the strapping and coil banding process for safe, efficient handling and shipping.
All About Coil Banding Lines
It makes little difference how rapidly a manufacturer can slit steel or other metals if they cannot adequately handle the newly slit coils they have produced. The most effective and efficient method for keeping a slitting line’s production at a high level is to remove coils from the line in a quick and timely manner.
That’s where the coil banding line comes in.
After the steel coils have been cut, they are prepared for shipment on a coil banding line. A banding line can be as straightforward as a downlayer, a linear conveyor, a conical roll table, and a pair of turnstiles, each with two arms in which cantilever jib cranes are used, and the operator physically straps the steel coil before removing it with the crane.
Alternatively, coil banding lines could be more complex. These types of lines would be fully automatic and be controlled by a PLC and feature a four-arm turnstile, an automatic banding station with a stacker, an eight-station carousel, a scale with UPC labeling, and shrink wrapping.
Banding equipment can also apply to other manufacturer needs beyond metal processing. For other applications, banding might be then referred to as strapping.
Strapping is excellent for transporting and storing products. It can secure fragile or heavy items to pallets or other items. These sorts of strapping machines can be automatic, semi-automatic, or manual as needed.
